Common Gallinule:
Mallard (female):
Lesser Yellowlegs:
Least Bittern:
In addition of the Wildlife Drive we drove a little north to the Sandhill Crane tract where we saw Northern Harrier and Peregrine Falcon hunting over the wetlands. Trumpeter Swan, American Coot, Common Gallinule, and Pied-Billed Grebe among others dabbled in the water. Montezuma NWR was a great place despite the unusual heat wave, but the birds didn't seem to care.
